Refunds and cancellations
Your right to cancel, how refunds work, and what to do if work is not right. Last updated 8 November 2026.
Your 14-day right to cancel
When you arrange work with us by phone, message, email, the website or at your home, the law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) gives you 14 days from the day we agree the contract to cancel, without giving a reason.
How to cancel
Tell us clearly that you want to cancel: by email to Swardlineturf@gmail.com, by phone or WhatsApp on 07469 254923, or in writing. Please give your name and the work you agreed. You do not need to use a special form.
If you want us to start within the 14 days
If you ask us to start within the 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to the point you told us, in proportion to the full price. If you ask us to do all the work within the 14 days, we will ask you to confirm you understand that you lose your right to cancel once it has been completed in full.
Refunds
If you cancel within your 14 days, we will refund anything you have paid, less the proportion for any work already done at your request. We will pay it within 14 days of you telling us, using the same payment method you used.
Regular services
You can stop a regular service, such as weekly lawn cutting or the yearly programme, at any time by telling us. You pay only for visits already completed, unless your written quote says otherwise.
If we cannot do the work
If we have to cancel or move a visit, for example because of the weather, we will tell you and rearrange. If we cannot do work you have paid for, we will refund the part not done.
If work is not right
If work was not done with reasonable care and skill, tell us and we will put it right, or reduce the price, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides. Photos help. You do not lose your legal rights by waiting, but the sooner we see a problem, the easier it is to sort out.
